About GreyHome Greyhound Sanctuary
The Greyhound Sanctuary seeks to answer a profound need in the overall rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of ex-racing Greyhounds, by focusing on those who are old (such as broods who have spent their lives in greyhound racing industry breeding farms), sick (with conditions that range from tick-borne diseases to epilepsy), and injured (with severely damaged or disfigured limbs -- common injuries on the racetrack).
With just as much love in their hearts and desire to live as the young and healthier Greyhounds (who are more typically chosen for adoption), these special needs but magnificent animals need a place for recovery, and sometimes a permanent home. This is our calling. We will provide a place of healing and respite for as many of these dogs as possible, who have had so much demanded of them by the Greyhound racing industry.
GreyHome Greyhound Sanctuary is currently located in the home of the founder, just outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
