About GreyHome Greyhound Sanctuary

The Greyhound Sanctuary seeks to answer a profound need in the overall rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of ex-racing greyhounds, by focusing on those who are old (such as broods who have spent their lives in greyhound racing industry breeding farms), sick (with conditions that range from tick-borne diseases to epilepsy), and injured (with severely damaged or disfigured limbs — the most common injury on the racetrack).

With just as much love in their hearts and desire to live, these older animals need a permanent home no less than younger, healthier greyhounds, yet these magnificent seniors are often overlooked due to the time and expense required for their rehabilitation.

This is our calling: we provide a loving, healing home just outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico to a select number of older greyhounds each year, in return for all that they have given of their lives to the greyhound racing industry.
